Cronau, a German-born artist and writer, came to the U.S. in 1880 to illustrate and write about the American West. During this period, the unique flora, fauna, and people inspired numerous artists from Europe to visit the area. Cronau painted this image of saguaro cacti showing the immense mass in relation to two Native Americans and a trader. ----- Cronau, artista y escritor de origen alemán, llegó a los Estados Unidos en 1880 para ilustrar y escribir sobre el Oeste Americano. Durante este período, la flora, la fauna y las personas únicas inspiraron a muchos artistas europeos a visitar la zona. Cronau pintó esta imagen de cactus saguaro mostrando la inmensa masa en relación con dos nativos americanos y un comerciante. (October 2017) |
